Last weekend we made a nuno felt scarf. We make lots of more functional felt scarves, and often in bright colourways so thought it would be nice to try somthing a little more flowy and autumnal (and possibly a bit more "grown up"!) We chose green silk as the base and various silks and wool curlies for the "topping". Here's the raw materials, and a pic of it in progress:
We like the result so much we are considering making it into a craft kit to sell at craft fairs. At the end of the day, quite often we find that people visiting craft fairs are other crafters who both buy craft work but are also looking for inspiration. I always buy a kit or two as a good way to start a new craft without too much expense, just to see if I like it or not. Another thing added to "Things To Do" list!
