What is felt artwork?
It's a picture or abstract design made with handmade felt and it may be enhanced with embroidery or other surface embellishment.
Can anyone make wall-hanging art?
Yes, this eBook is suitable for those who would like to learn how to make felt and for those who already make felt and are looking for further inspiration and techniques.
Is feltmaking an expensive hobby?
No – the basic materials are cheap and readily available, you don’t need a lot of equipment and ‘Creating Felt Artwork’ will get you started quickly and easily.
How do I use this eBook?
It’s designed so that you can either follow the project steps exactly to make a variation of our own design that we call ‘The Meadow’ (partly pictured on the cover - shown above)
You can create your own original design by following the project steps but using the extra section in each step to guide you

What’s different about this felting eBook?
This isn’t like other feltmaking books because we don’t talk about the history of felt, the science and all the types of wool available etc, we just go straight to the fun stuff and show you our creative process, the materials we use, and lots of ideas to inspire you.
Do I need a sewing machine?
A sewing machine is not essential to creating felted wall art – you can achieve beautiful results using only hand embroidery - or no embroidery at all if you prefer to just let the felt speak for itself.
